Queens Brownstone — Full Exterior Restoration
6-story facade restored
This landmark brownstone in Astoria, Queens required a full exterior restoration. The building had significant deterioration of the facade mortar, cracked limestone lintels, and a failing parapet wall that posed a public safety risk.
Scope of Work
- Full parapet wall reconstruction — demo and rebuild to NYC DOB spec
- Brownstone facade cleaning and tuckpointing (complete repointing)
- Replacement of 6 deteriorated limestone lintels
- Waterproof sealant applied to entire facade
- New brownstone-matched patching compound on spalled sections
- Scaffold installation and removal (6-floor building)
- DOB permit filing and sign-off
The restored facade now matches its original 1910 appearance while meeting all modern structural and waterproofing standards.
